A3d blog 5
Continuing from last week I started working more on the chest
plate again
I began to
shape the chest plate more in order to match the concept
After I was
finally happy with the chest plate I began to work on the mechanical wing by
starting off with a cube and then adding edges in order to shape it, after I
intruded parts in order to get detail to match the concept
By getting a
better look of more images of the concept I realized the armour above the thigh
pad were more of a belt so I redid it
After I
added more detail to the belt
When I was
done with the belt I began to modify the face features and began to add the
armoured helmet
I added more
details by extruding certain faces and adjusting the shape
I then began
to add the gold feathers by stretching a cube and adding a point on the end
I then added
more to the back of the character
I then added
the top of the wings by starting off with a cube and shaping it and adding
edges to the top and extruding it
I then added
more detail to the chest piece
I then
continued by extruding the top face inward of the centre of the chest piece
I then added
more detail to the helmet by making it more triangular
My thoughts
As I have
stated on a previous blog I saw that now I have learned a lot more on modelling
a character and that while it took a lot of time at first, now being more
confident and more aware of how to use the tools, that the process has really
sped up and the character is now nearly finished. Also I feel it is beginning
to look like the concept.
